The Sundance film festival 2011 was held and chosen some of the winners which is a great festival for music loving people. This festival announced Like Crazy as the larger owner which won both a special Jury Prize for actress felicity Jones and Grand Jury Prize. Obviously, it has already got permission for distribution in different places.

There were 118 feature-length movies which were selected for 2011 Sundance film festival. This film festival includes more than 29 countries. It was also an opportunity for the first time film makers where there was the participation of 40 first time film makers with around 25 competitors. This film festival exhibited 95 films which were world premiers. From this year, there is also the provision of short film programs that comprises 81 short films from US and other international film makers have reported about 6467 films which have been submitted.

 

Sundance Film Festival Award Winners 2011:

1. A famous documentary How to die in Oregon won Grand jury Prize and Peter D Richardson is the director which is a real story, presented in terms of documentary film.
2. Like Crazy is a drama that also won the Grand Jury Prize at the same festival. This is the story about American boy and a young British girl and their love story.
3. Hell and Back is another famous documentary which won the World Cinema Jury Prize and Danfung Dennis is the director in this movies. This film deals with the story of Afghanistan and its war which gives clear picture of Afghanistan and the role of USA.
4. Happy, Happy is one of the famous dramas which deals with the family problems as which is presented in this movie.

Apart from this, there are many documentaries which deal with different personal as well as social issues.
