The ever-controversial pop singer surely knows how to create headlines. And just when you thought she couldn’t get any crazier, she shocked everyone with her bizarre red carpet entry at the 53rd Grammy Awards. Known for her outrageous outfits, Lady Gaga arrived at the awards ceremony at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles in a giant egg vessel carried by people dresses in golden dresses. Lady Gaga's arrival at the Grammy created a stir amongst onlookers.

Lady Gaga also performed at the Awards and chose to stay in the egg for three hours until the time for her performance. She had to wear oxygen mask for breathing while she was inside the egg and spent three days inside the vessel to prepare before hatching out to perform for her new single ‘Born this way’. She certainly did astonish the audience with her performance. She later explained that she really wanted to be born on the stage and the three days she spent inside the giant egg gave her time to truly understand the meaning of her song. Her stylist Nicola Formichetti wrote on Twitter that Gaga is in incubation.

After grabbing everyone’s attention for her outrageous meat dress at MTV Video Music Awards, Lady Gaga’s egg entrance surely surprised and shocked everyone. She certainly did rock the 2011 Grammys.

At this year Grammy Awards, she was nominated in six categories which included Album of the Year, Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Dance Recording, Best Short Form Music Video and Best Pop Vocal Album. Out of these, she took home three awards which included Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Best Short Form Music Video for the song ‘Bad Romance’ and Best Pop Vocal Album for her album 'The Fame Monster'.
