There are some on-screen relationships that make perfect sense and then there are some dreaded hook-ups on television that are painful to watch. These are the people who are not meant to be together and it’s good that some of them ended their relationship. Here is a list of bad romantic relationships on television.

Joey & Rachel (Friends) – The very popular show was on air for 10 years and the two friends hooked up in the final season. Thankfully the experimental relationship was short-lived and finally Rachel realized her love for Ross and the two ended up together in season finale.

George and Izzie (Grey’s Anatomy)

– The best friends, George and Izzie, played by T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl did not have any chemistry when they got together and did not make a good couple. George was cheating on his wife and ultimately when ‘Gizzie’ ended, he was left with no love interest.

Top-5-worst-TV-couplesBarney and Robin (How I Met Your Mother) – The womanizer Barney and Robin crossed the boundaries of friendship by hooking up at the end of season 4. Fortunately the romance ended when the two realized how miserable they are together. Few fans were disappointed that they are no longer together but many prefer the single Barney.

Top-5-worst-TV-couplesPenny and Leonard (The Big Bang Theory) – A nerd and an unattainable girl, they never had the making of a perfect couple. They were way too different and not a suitable match. Post the break-up, the focus shifted to Sheldon and everyone went on being normal just like they were before the wrong romance.

Top-5-worst-TV-couplesAria and Ezra (Pretty Little Liars) – The storyline of a high school student hooking up with her English teacher is a bad idea. The two have kept their relationship secret and only Aria’s Friend and mysterious ‘A’ knows about them. Aria and Ezra make no sense at all being together as a couple.
