It was reported that couple were living apart for several months prior to the official announcement of their break up. Some reports were blaming new pictures of David Arquette with a woman. The 11-year marriage started trembling when David Arquette confirmed that he slept with 28-year-old bartender/actress, Jasmine Waltz.
Furthermore, David had described Jasmine as 'my one conquest'. David also claimed that Courteney and Van Holt were carrying on an "emotional affair," but that he was not sure whether they had a physical attachment or not. Actress Cox revealed that one of the greatest reasons behind her split with David Arquette is that he wants too much sex. It has been rumored that the marital dilemmas started between the couple after David was photographed without his wedding ring in September last year and that Courteney Cox had also revealed that they were attending couples therapy.
They fell in love almost fifteen years ago while filming 'Scream', but by the time they were filming Scream 4, their marriage was almost over. The couple released a joint statement that they both have agreed to a trial separation in order to understand the qualities they need to be a partner. They also said that they will be a responsible parents to their daughter and that they still love each other. Cox and Arquette had also told that during their trial separation phase, they would hope for love, understanding and dignity from their fans, family members, friends and media.
