Will Smith has made waves in almost all the sections of the entertainment industry, be it television, films or the music industry. His career is really impressive as he is the winner of various Grammy Awards and had been nominated for Academy Award. His wife Jada Pinkett Smith is also a successful Hollywood actress who has appeared in various films such as Ali, Scream 2, The Matrix Revolutions, The Matrix Reloaded and Madagascar.
Smith and Pinkett first met in 1990 when she auditioned for the role of Smith's girl friend for 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' show. Over the next few years, they discovered that they had mutual friends and became close pals. In 1995, when Smith's first marriage ended, Pinkett and Smith came closer. Smith told People in 1996 that the attachment of his name with Pinkett came as a big surprise.
The romance of the couple blossomed with their careers. Smith always tried to convince Pinkett for getting married, but Jada was never ready. Smith finally popped the question in November 1997 and got the answer he wanted. They then got engaged and tied the knot on December 21, 1997. About 100 guests attended their dream wedding at the Cloisters, near Pinkett's hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. When they married, Will was 29 years old whilst Pinkett was 26 years old.
The couple has founded a charity organization, Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation which focuses on urban inner city youth as well as family support. The foundation has worked with different non-profit organizations such as the Lopus Foundation of America and YouthBuild.
Today, the couple has three children - Willard Christopher "Trey" Smith III, Jaden Christopher Syre Smith and Willow Camille Reign Smith. Pinkett is the stepmother of Willard Christopher "Trey" Smith III who is Smith's son from a previous marriage. Together, raising their three kids, they have created one of the most talented families in Hollywood.
