After the delay of her premiere "Run the World (Girls)" video, it has been confirmed that Beyoncé will finally drop the video on Wednesday in the "American Idol."

A label rep confirmed that the video will knock the Internet and other networks just after the West Coast broadcast of the program.

"Run the World (Girls)" was firstly slated to debut on Internet last Friday; finally it was confirmed that at the time that Beyoncé and her group were still adding the final touches on the Francis Lawrence-directed video.

 

A trailer for the video gives fans an experience of what they could anticipate from the whole clip. In it, Beyoncé, clothed in high-fashion style, and her cool-looking supermodel companions fend off an opposite army in of world post-apocalyptic.

"It'll be big, it'll probably be one of the bigger Beyoncé music videos ever done," recently Lawrence told. "And I can say that I think the song is unbelievable." Lawrence added, "I think the video's gonna be really fun and cool and different for her."

The music video is of lead solo off Beyoncé's upcoming album 4. "It's definitely riskier than something a bit more ... simple," the singer stated "I just heard the track and loved that it was so different. It felt a bit African, a bit electronic and futuristic. It reminded me of what I love, which is mixing different cultures and eras — things that typically don't go together — to create a new sound.

"I can never be safe; I always try and go against the grain. As soon as I accomplish one thing, I just set a higher goal," she continued. "That's how I've gotten to where I am."
