When Simon Cowell arrived for the second round of auditions of 'The X-Factor' in Los Angeles, he said that he did not like the big hairstyle Cheryl Cole which she sported for the first auditions in LA. He further stated that Cheryl's hairdo was shocking for everyone as it was 70s-inspired hairdo. The hairstyle Cheryl chose for her first appearance as an X Factor judge was also spotted on Sex And The City's Sarah Jessica Parker.

Simon Cowell told the Daily Mirror, 'Most British people that come over to these shows seem to be mean or rude. But Cheryl, she's not like that. The audience really warmed to her.' He joked, 'I wasn't really taken by Cheryl's hair. It was the equivalent of her using five gallons of hairspray and then standing in the middle of a hurricane.' But he didn't like the big hairdo which she selected for the first appearance as an X Factor judge in the United States.
