Something Borrowed is a romantic comedy, based on the novel by National best-selling author, Emily Giffin and is directed by Luke Greenfield. The movie released on May 6th, 2011. Hilary Swank is one of the producers of the film. She and her producing partner Molly Smith bought the rights of the Giffin’s novel’s Something Borrowed and Something Blue.Swank initially had considered herself for the lead role but after reading the screenplay, she thought someone else would be better.

Wiig is also the co-writer of the film along with Annie Mumolo. The movie also features a group of colorful and beautiful bridesmaids which includes Ellie Kemper, Rose Byrne, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Melissa McCarthy.
