Lightning McQueen (for the character a voice by Owen Wilson) also the unique tow truck Mater (voice by Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to thrilling new locations in “Cars 2” while they head abroad to contend in the ever-first World Grand Prix to prove the fastest car in the world. But the path to the competition is full with abundance of potholes, diversions and amusing surprises as Mater gets trapped up in a fascinating adventure of his own: worldwide espionage.

Torn between supporting Lightning McQueen in the prestigious race and towing the line in a confidential spy mission, Mater’s thrilling ride leads him on a volatile chase throughout the streets of Europe and Japan, trailed by his companions and seen by the entire world. Additional to the fast-speed fun is a multicolored all new car casting which includes spy agents, international racing competitors and menacing villains.

John Lasseter returns as the director of the movie to follow his Golden Globe 2006 Winner Cars. Brad Lewis is co-director of Cars 2 (producer of the Oscar winning movie Ratatouille) and produced by the visual effects industry expert Denise Ream.
