The penultimate episode before the season finale saw Alex graduating from middle school and is planning to give a speech that aims at all the kids who ignore her at school. Haley tries to stop her from making that speech (even steals her speech) as she thinks that the speech is a complete social suicide. She tells her that popularity and beauty are of no use if people fail in their classes and can’t get into colleges.
Meanwhile, other stories revolved around Jay’s Botox attempt to look young going wrong, Cam kept getting onto minor accidents (prompting others to burst into laughter) and Phil and Claire struggled to reach the school just in time for Alex’s speech.
In the end, Alex agrees with Haley and delivers a generic speech that everyone wanted to hear and also liked. The comedy errors of the episode were a complete success preparing the audiences for more laughs for the season finale episode.
The show has remained very popular amongst fans since its premiere and ABC has renewed the series for season 3.
