It turns out that being send to Friday nights isn’t essentially a death verdict. FOX has declared that they have improved Fringe for a complete fourth season of 22 episodes. Admirers of the sci-fi series can unwind for quite awhile now. What is the news come almost every week immediately after Fringe recorded seasons ratings low last Friday.
Opposite steep competition, on Thursday nights, Fringe was averaging a 60 minute.9 rating within the coveted 18-49 demographic and about 5 million total audiences. Fans got reasonably nervous once the network made a decision to move the program to Friday nights but execs remained that, as long as the series kept most of its viewers, the show could be safe.
Remarkably, Fringe maintained its numbers for couple of weeks but then they began to slip, garnering a 1.3 inside the demo and 3.8 million last Friday. Regardless of the ratings decline, the network has renewed Fringe for a fourth season.
In the surprise, J.J. Abrams tells Vulture, “Whew! And thanks to Fringe-rs everywhere!!!!” Meantime, Fringe executive producer J.H. Wyman tweeted, “Fringe was picked up!!!! Thanks Fringedom!”
